Futureform Upgrades International Private Equity Firm to Financial Services Cloud and Agentforce

Introduction

A leading international private equity firm, part of a major European holding group and managing assets across mid-market investments in North America and Europe, had been using Salesforce for over 10 years. The platform had been a fixture of the business for a long time — but in practice, the team had drifted away from it. Licences were underutilised, workflows had not evolved to keep pace with the firm’s complexity, and Salesforce had come to feel like a compliance obligation rather than a tool the deal team actually wanted to use.

With a growing focus on operational efficiency and an emerging interest in AI-powered workflows, the firm recognised it needed more than a refresh — it needed a structured path to a platform that could support how the business actually operated. It partnered with Futureform to upgrade to Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and introduce Agentforce as part of the initial release.

Project Challenges

The firm faced a familiar but significant challenge: years of accumulated Salesforce usage that had produced a complex, inconsistently adopted environment rather than the clean, high-value tool the business needed.

  • Underutilised licences and low adoption. Despite holding Financial Services Cloud licences, the team had not adopted any of FSC’s purpose-built features. The platform remained configured as a basic Sales Cloud environment, with none of the relationship intelligence, structured interaction logging or workflow automation that the firm’s deal and investor relations teams needed.
  • No structured meeting or interaction logging. Meeting notes were captured in a single text field with no link to the LPs, funds, investment committees or opportunities a conversation touched. Without a structured way to log interactions, the firm had no reliable way to track the history of a relationship, prepare for meetings or hand over context between team members.
  • Manual processes slowing deal and IR teams. Day-to-day activity — meeting preparation, follow-up tracking, opportunity prioritisation — relied heavily on individual effort and institutional memory. There was no automation to surface what the team should be focusing on, and no AI capability to reduce the time spent pulling together meeting briefs from fragmented data.

Why Futureform?

The firm selected Futureform based on their deep expertise in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and their specific track record delivering FSC upgrades for private equity and asset management firms. Futureform’s ability to demonstrate practical, immediate improvements — through clear examples of how FSC’s features would improve daily workflows — gave the firm confidence that the upgrade would deliver tangible value without a disruptive overhaul.

Futureform’s Private Equity Accelerator provided a proven starting point tailored to the firm’s sector, reducing configuration time and demonstrating a clear path to go-live. Futureform’s ability to speak the language of PE — investment processes, LP relationships, deal team workflows — was a key factor in building stakeholder trust.

Solution

Futureform delivered a Salesforce Financial Services Cloud upgrade and Agentforce implementation, transforming the platform from an underused database into an active relationship and workflow tool. Key components included:

  • FSC Upgrade — Migration to Financial Services Cloud using Futureform’s Private Equity Accelerator, providing a purpose-built data model and industry-specific components aligned to the firm’s deal team and investor relations workflows.
  • Interaction Summaries — Replaced the single-field meeting notes approach with structured interaction logging linked to LPs, GPs, investment committees, funds and opportunities — preserving context and enabling team-wide visibility of relationship history.
  • Actionable Relationship Center (ARC) — Delivered an interactive, visual map of the firm’s investor and stakeholder relationships, enabling the team to understand influence networks, surface introduction paths and navigate complex ownership structures directly within Salesforce.
  • Agentforce — Daily Meeting Briefs — Integrated Agentforce to automatically generate a daily AI-powered brief for each salesperson, drawing on Interaction Summaries and live opportunity data to surface what they should be focusing on before each meeting — without manual preparation.
  • UX and Page Layout Improvements — Streamlined the platform’s day-to-day interface, reducing friction and making Salesforce a tool the team actively wanted to use rather than an administrative obligation.
  • HR Workspace — Delivered a dedicated workspace for the firm’s HR team, including CV parsing and candidate matching capabilities to streamline internal hiring processes alongside the core upgrade.

Implementation Experience

Futureform delivered the upgrade using its Private Equity Accelerator, providing a pre-configured starting point that significantly reduced build time while remaining closely aligned to the firm’s workflows. The emphasis throughout was on practical, immediate value — prioritising changes that would demonstrably improve daily usage from day one, rather than extensive customisation for its own sake.

Agentforce was introduced as part of the first release, with prompts and guided workflows designed to help the sales team surface meaningful next actions without requiring manual data compilation. The implementation validated the AI capability early, giving stakeholders a concrete view of what the platform could do with the right foundation in place.

Results and Impact

  • FSC features live after 10+ years on Sales Cloud — the firm is now using Interaction Summaries, ARC and Agentforce in production, unlocking licences that had previously gone unused.
  • Daily AI-generated meeting briefs — each salesperson receives an automatically generated brief before their meetings, drawn from live Interaction Summary and opportunity data via Agentforce, reducing manual preparation time.
  • Structured interaction logging — meeting notes are now captured in a consistent, linked format across the team, preserving institutional knowledge and enabling relationship continuity regardless of team changes.
  • Relationship intelligence in Salesforce — the ARC gives the deal and IR teams a live view of investor relationships, ownership structures and introduction paths without leaving the platform.
  • Renewed team engagement with the platform — by reducing friction and demonstrating immediate value, the upgrade reversed a pattern of low adoption and positioned Salesforce as a tool the team actively uses.

Looking Ahead

With Financial Services Cloud and Agentforce live, the firm is well positioned to extend its AI capabilities in a future phase. The structured data model and interaction history now in place provide the foundation for deeper Agentforce deployment — including more sophisticated deal prioritisation, LP engagement scoring, and automated follow-up workflows at scale.
